The Denver Post collected a great collection of color photographs from Russia in the early 1900’s. They were taken by Russian chemist and photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii.

If you want to learn more about Prokudin-Gorskii, the process he used to create the color photographs, and see his collection, you can visit the Library of Congress, who owns his glass negatives after purchasing them in 1948.
