Aperture 3 is having problems

After deleting dozens of my Flickr photos, thanks to the new Flickr export plugin which will erase photos in a set if they are not also in an album on your computer, I decided to stop trying to use it until something better is released. As you can read on this thread, I am not the only one having that kind of problem.

Computer world also wrote an article about a serious memory leak affecting Aperture 3.

What a lot of those Pro users got, unfortunately, was a frozen computer and an “out of disk space” warning.

Apple Releases Aperture 3

Apple is still in the process of updating their site but Aperture 3 is here.

More details to come but in the meantime, here is what Chase Jarvis has to say about this new release.

Is Aperture 3 coming soon?

Apple is having an event scheduled on January 27th and one of the things which might be announced is the next version of Aperture.
Photographers have been for a long time since the existing version, Aperture 2, was released on February 12, 2008 and last updated to version 2.1.4 on August 27, 2009.
For those who want to try a new version of a photo management software, the beta of Lightroom 3 is out and free to try.
